Humans weren’t allowed to join the Intergalactic Coalition Of Free Worlds until they had become a truly civilized society. Of course, that meant dismantling nuclear arsenals, stopping all planet-side wars, switching to renewable energy sources, and all the other regular and expected requirements.

The part that surprised people at first was that no society was allowed to join the Coalition until after FreeUse had become a normal and accepted sexual standard.

That had been generations before Lori had even been born, generations before her grandparents had been born. Being so distant from that time, she often wondered why it would shock people.

“I can’t really imagine that kind of primitive mind. Imagine, a world full of people who didn’t just have sex whenever it was asked for? How would that even work?”

“I don’t know,” Sarlon said to his human consort. “Humans have always been delightfully odd creatures. Now, start sucking my reproductive organ. I want to slide it up your waste disposal hole shortly.”

“You always do know how to sweet talk a girl, Sarlon.”
